November 21, 2001Ground Breaking for Little Sioux Corn Processor's in Marcus, Iowa Formal Ground Breaking was held on Monday, November 19th for Little Sioux Corn Processor's 40 million gallon ethanol plant two miles east of Marcus, Iowa.
Investors, supporters and ethanol industry personnel joined the LSCP Board in breaking ground for Northwest Iowa's largest ethanol plant.
Little Sioux will process 15 million bushels of corn annually into ethanol and DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains and Soluables). The plant is being built by Fagen, Inc. from Granite Falls, MN utilizing ICM Inc., of Colwich, KS.
The project will take 16 months to construct and will employ 31 people.
