March 4, 2003Ethanol Plant Planned Near Hudson (Sioux Falls-AP) -- Construction should start this summer on another ethanol plant in South Dakota. Investors are being lined up for Sioux River Ethanol near Hudson that's expected to employ 38 people and make 45 million gallons of the fuel additive a year. Hudson is southeast of Canton near the Iowa border. Broin Companies of Sioux Falls has scheduled meetings with potential investors. Construction will take 14 months. Only South Dakota residents can invest in the operation because it's a state-registered plant.
