Kwikshop #728 in Maize, Kansas has decided to retail E85, becoming the second location in the state to offer the renewable fuel product.
The station, located at 5340 North Maize Road, will also sell diesel, regular and premium grades of gasoline, and is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The 8,000-gallon E85 tank and dispenser were funded in part by the Kansas Corn Commission/Kansas Corn Growers, the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition and ICM, Inc., of Colwich Kansas, a provider of process engineering, plant development, and other services to the ethanol industry.
Tim Roark, Director of Petroleum Facilities and Remodel Construction for Kwikshop said there are plans to construct many more stores; and his company is looking at retailing E85 at the best locations. Topeka Truck & Travel Center Texaco in Topeka is the other E85 site in Kansas. Another new site is under construction in Garnett, Kansas.
