November 19, 2003Granite Falls Ethanol continues equity drive GRANITE FALLS — Granite Falls Community Ethanol Plant announces a final round of investor meetings on its equity drive. Seventeen meetings are scheduled for western Minnesota and eastern South Dakota from Dec. 1 thru Dec. 9. Investment in the plant is not limited to corn producers, but open to any interested citizen.
The 40 million-gallon-per-year plant will be designed and built by Fagen Inc. of Granite Falls. It will process more than 15 million bushels of corn annually and in addition to ethanol will produce 135,000 tons of dried distillers grain solubles each year.
The plant will be located 1½ miles east of Granite Falls at the junction of U.S. Highway 212 and state Highway 23, and employee 32 to 35 people.
