2007 FEW Scholarship Winners Selected

Three winners have been chosen for the 2007 Fuel Ethanol Workshop (FEW) Scholarships:

Dawn Anderson - Granite Falls, Minnesota
Christopher Simmons - Davis California
Rachel Campbell - Guelph, Ontario Canada


Winners will be presented the scholarships on stage at the FEW Wednesday, June 27th.

Due to the outstanding number of applicants, Kathy Bryan, President of BBI International, is also sending $500 in scholarship funds to six runners up. The runners up are: Nancy Bawa of Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada; Sam Fox of Corvallis, Oregon; Candance Godbolt of Urbana Illinois; Abraham Warfield of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Star Grabow of Granite Falls Minnesota; and William Woodward, New South Wales, Australia.

All applicants were required to complete an application with their education and work experience, submit a letter of application that describes their career plans; relevant course work taken or plan to take and relevant work experience. Graduate students were asked to include: Research, publications, presentations and name and contact information of supervising professor. All applicants were also asked to submit two letters of recommendation.

American Stainless & Supply ( http://www.amerstain.com )is sponsoring the three $5,000 scholarships this year. American Stainless is a complete supplier of industrial PVF materials. In business for over 40 years, American Stainless supplies the ethanol industry’s procurement needs on all items from the pump to the tank.


BBI International ( http://www.bbibiofuels.com ) will cover travel, lodging and registration for the three scholarship winners to attend the Fuel Ethanol Workshop in St. Louis June 26-29, 2007. BBI International provides valuable expertise to the biofuels industry with three areas of service: Conference and Event Planning, Project Development, and Media.
